QUEEN dipilih sebagai band terbaik dari dekade 70-an.
Grup rock band yang mempopulerkan Bohemian Rhapsody ini terpilih melalui jajak pendapat baru-baru ini terhadap 2.000 penggemar musik, yang dilakukan untuk menandai peluncuran serial rock'n roll Vinyl oleh Sky Atlantic.
Dekade 70-an menandai persaingan genre disko dan rock di 10 teratas - Queen terpilih mengungguli Abba, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, the Bee Gees dan Led Zeppelin.
Sementara Queen berada di peringkat teratas sebagai grup band, album musik favorit 70-an adalah Rumours milik Fleetwood Mac, sementara Eric Clapton ditetapkan sebagai gitaris terbaik.
Namun, jajak pendapat tersebut tidak hanya melakukan survei pada musik - menyinggung sebagai yang 'terbaik' pada dekade 70-an, Star Wars berada di peringkat teratas.
Film epik fiksi ilmiah, yang beredar di studio pada 1977, mengalahkan Abba, David Bowie, Jaws, VW Beetle, Concorde, Starsky dan Hutch, Charlie Angels dan lampu lava.

Serial tiivi ini dimodali oleh oleh Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese dan Terence Winter dan mulai tayang di Sky Atlantic pada 15 Februari.

QUEEN have been voted the best band of the '70s.
The Bohemian Rhapsody group came out top in a recent poll of 2,000 music fans, taken to mark the launch of Sky Atlantic’s new rock 'n' roll TV series Vinyl.
It was a battle between disco and rock for the top 10 – with Queen emerging victorious ahead of Abba, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, the Bee Gees and Led Zeppelin.
While Queen reigned supreme when it came to bands, the favourite '70s album was Rumours by Fleetwood Mac, while Eric Clapton was named best guitarist.
However, the poll didn’t just survey music – when it came to the best thing about the 1970s, Star Wars came up trumps.
The epic sci-fi movie, which came out in 1977, beat Abba, David Bowie, Jaws, the VW Beetle, Concorde, Starsky and Hutch, Charlie’s Angels and lava lamps.
The survey was commissioned ahead of the start of Vinyl and the series is set in the music industry in New York during the 1970s.
Vinyl follows record executive Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale) as he struggles with a midlife crisis which threatens both his professional and personal life.
The show was co-produced by Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter and starts on Sky Atlantic on February 15.
