SAUDI ARABIA has admitted journalist Jamal Khashoggi is dead. The results of the country´s own investigation were revealed Friday evening and claim the 59-year-old died following an altercation at the kingdom´s consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on October 2.

Saudi´s attorney general said Khashoggi (pictured center in a black suit entering the Saudi consulate in Turkey) died after a fight broke out between him and other people inside the consulate.

A total of 18 suspects are being held in connection with the case, state media in the kingdom reported. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has also dismissed five of his advisers, including deputy intelligence chief Ahmed Assiri (inset left) and Saud al-Qahtani (right), a royal court adviser.

Asked whether he thought Saudi Arabia´s explanation for the death of Jamal Khashoggi was credible, President Trump said "I do. I do."

Touching down for a rally in Arizona, he said it was a ´horrible event´ and the investigation was a ´good first step´.
