HP Sprout Ditches the Keyboard and Mouse for a Projector and Giant Touchpad

DALAM upaya menggairahkan kembali penggunaan komputer atau PC, HP meluncurkan desain baru yang radikal lengkap dengan proyektor dan kamera tiga dimensi (3D).
Komputer ini disebut HP Sprout, menggabungkan layar touchscreen 23 inci dengan mouse pad interaktif - terpasang di tempat keyboard standar dan mouse.
Sebuah proyektor terpasang di atas monitor untuk scanner, dan dapat melacak tangan pengguna saat menggunakan keyboard virtual di bawahnya.
PC ini tersedia untuk pre-order secara online di AS, sejak pekan lalu dengan harga di kisaran Rp22 jutaan per unit ($1.899). Sementara pemasaran di negara lain belum diumumkan secara resmi oleh HP.
HP, yang berbasis di California menyebut inovasi terbarunya ini sebagai Blended Reality, seperti dilansir MailOnline.
Proyektor, dijuluki HP Illuminator, dilengkapi teknologi Intel RealSense 3D, mirip dengan Microsoft Kinect, dan menggabungkan kamera 14.6MP, proyektor, dan lampu meja LED.
IN A BID to reinvigorate its range of PCs, HP has unveiled a radical new design complete with a projector and 3D cameras.
Called HP Sprout, it combines a 23-inch touchscreen display with an interactive touch mat - in place of a standard keyboard and mouse.
A projector on top of the monitor scans objects, and it can track a user’s hands when using a virtual keyboard below.
The PC is available for pre-order online in the US, before being released in stores on 9 November, and costs $1,899 (£1,180). More country release dates are yet to be announced.
The California-based firm calls the technology Blended Reality.
The projector, dubbed the HP Illuminator, is fitted with Intel’s RealSense 3D technology, similar to Microsoft’s Kinect, and combines a 14.6MP camera, the projector itself, and an LED desk lamp.
