Palembang, Sumsel (B2B) - Sejumlah anggota parlemen dari komisi pangan dan lingkungan, Komisi IV DPR dipimpin ketuanya, Edhy Prabowo tiba di Palembang, Sabtu pagi (28/4) didampingi Pending Dadih Permana, Dirjen Prasarana dan Sarana Pertanian (PSP) Kementerian Pertanian RI.

Kunjungan kerja reses masa sidang IV 2017-2018 Komisi IV DPR dijadwalkan berlangsung hingga Rabu pekan depan (2 Mei) antara lain gudang PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (Pusri) di Kabupaten Banyuasin.

Kunjungan ke Pusri tergolong krusial lantaran Pemerintah RI mengalokasikan pupuk bersubsidi untuk 2018 hingga 9,55 juta ton, dan Kementan mengintegrasikannya dengan Kartu Tani untuk distribusinya. 

Tujuan integrasi dengan Kartu Tani agar petani yang berhak membeli pupuk bersubsidi sudah melalui validasi dan verifikasi online di database perbankan yang menjadi provider Kartu Tani.

Kunjungan utama berikutnya dari Komisi IV DPR adalah menyaksikan panen padi di lahan pasang surut (IP100) dan melihat persiapan tanam jagung di desa Banyuurip, Kabupaten Banyuasin.

Sebelumnya diberitakan, Dirjen PSP Pending DP mengingatkan Pemprov Sumsel dan pihak terkait untuk memanfaatkan potensi lahan kurang produktif sejuta hektar, khususnya lahan rawa 240.000 hektar dan lahan kering 772.000 hektar, dengan mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan Alsintan.

"Lahan tersebut merupakan potensi yang tidak boleh dibiarkan,  sehingga perlu dukungan semua pihak untuk mengawal program maupun petani di kelompok tani pada lokasi kawasan yang akan kita coba tanami," kata Dirjen Pending DP pada Rakor Upsus Pajale di Palembang, belum lama ini.

The working visit of DPR today was scheduled to visit Pupuk Sriwijaya Corp. factory warehouse in Banyuasin district.

The working visit is crucial after Indonesian government allocates subsidized fertilizer for 2018 of approximately 9.55 million tons, and the agriculture ministry will integrates it with Farmer Cards - locally known as the Kartu Tani - for its distribution.  

The target is that farmers who are entitled to purchase subsidized fertilizer have been through online validation and verification in the banking database as provider of Kartu Tani.

The next visit is to review the rice yield activity in tidal area or IP100 and see the preparation of maize planting in Banyuurip village of Banyuasin district which will be attended by regent and local residents.

Previously reported, Indonesian Agriculture Ministry reminded the South Sumatra provincial government with relevant agencies to optimize potential of one million hectares of abandoned land, especially swampland of 240,000 hectares and dry land of 772,000 hectares by he use of agricultural machinery to increase rice production.

"Abandoned land is the great potential for Indonesia in the future as the 2045 world food barn, so it needs the support of many parties," Mr Permana said.
