Makassar, Sulsel (B2B) - Menteri Pertanian RI Andi Amran Sulaiman menerima api obor Asian Games 2018 dari tim kirab setelah menempuh empat jam perjalanan dari Tanjung Bira menuju rumah jabatan Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan di Makassar, Minggu malam (29/7) sebagai bagian dari rangkaian Torch Relay Asian Games XVIII. 

"Asian Games sudah di depan mata. Semaraknya kian terasa, seperti pesan Presiden Joko Widodo, mari kita menjadi tuan rumah yangbaik," kata Mentan.

Amran Sulaiman meminta masyarakat untuk mendukung atlet Indonesia yang akan bertanding di pesta olahraga terbesar di Asia, yang mempertandingkan 40 cabang olahraga, terdiri atas 32 cabang Olimpiade dan delapan cabang non-Olimpiade.

“Ini adalah momentum yang harus kita manfaatkan setelah lebih setengah abad, kita kembali dipercaya menjadi tuan rumah. Medali harus kita raih. Kita harus dukung putra putri terbaik Indonesia untuk meraih medali emas sebanyak-sebanyaknya," kata Mentan.

Makassar of South Sulawesi (B2B) - Indonesian Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman received the 2018 Asian Games torch of the carnival team after a four-hour drive from Cape of Bira to the official house of South Sulawesi Governor in Makassar, Sunday night (July 29) as part of the series of Torch Relay Asian Games XVIII.

"The Asian Games will soon take place. President Joko Widodo reminded us to be a good host," Minister Sulaiman said.

Mr Sulaiman asked the public to support Indonesian athletes who will compete at the biggest sporting event in Asia, which matches 40 sports.

"This is the momentum after waiting more than half a century, Indonesia to host the Asian Games again. We must support Indonesia´s best athletes to win as many gold medals," he said.
