Jakarta (B2B) - Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU) menyatakan akan terus memantau perkembangan proses akuisisi 90%-100% saham PT Cakrawala Andalas Televisi, pengelola ANTV, anak usaha PT Visi Media Asia Tbk (VIVA) atau Viva Group, oleh PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) atau MNC Group, kelompok usaha yang dimiliki Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
Komisioner KPPU, Syarkawi Rauf mengatakan sama halnya dengan proses akuisisi PT Axis Telekom (axis) oleh PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL), KPPU menyarankan agar MNC Group dan Viva Group melakukan konsultasi ke KPPU agar merger bisa berjalan lancar. Sebab, dua entitas ini memiliki nilai industri di atas Rp2,5 triliun.
“Artinya, merger antara kedua entitas bisnis ini harus dilaporkan ke KPPU,” kata Syarkawi.
Jakarta (B2B) - The Commission for the Supervision of Business Competition (KPPU) said that it will monitor the acquisition process of 90-100 percent shares in PT Cakrawala Andalas Televisi, management of ANTV, subsidiary of PT Visi Media Asia Tbk (VIVA) or Viva Group by PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) or MNC Group, the company’s owned by media mogul, Hary Tanoesoedibjo. KPPU also urged both parties to consult to KPPU prior to conducting the merger.
KPPU’s Commissioner Syarkawi Rauf said that similar to the acquisition process of PT Axis Telekom (Axis) by PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL), KPPU suggested MNC Group and Viva Group to consult KPPU in order the merger runs successfully. This is because both entities have industrial value worth above Rp2.5 trillion (US$243 million).
"That is, the merger between the two business entities must be report to the KPPU," said Syarkawi.
