Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah mengimbau para pekerja formal untuk memenuhi kewajiban membayar iuran untuk Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) sesuai UU Sistem Jaminan Sosial Nasional (SJSN) Nomor 40/2004, untuk diterapkan mulai 2014.

Menteri Koordinator Kesejahteraan Rakyat (Menko Kesra) Agung Laksono mengatakan formulasi besaran iuran yang ditetapkan adalah 5%, terbagi untuk pemberi kerja (perusahaan) 4% dan 1% dipungut dari pekerja.

"Pembayar iuran adalah pekerja yang mampu membayar sendiri, bukan pekerja miskin yang dibiayai pemerintah. Pekerja formal diharapkan sama-sama membayar iuran lima persen, empat persen dari perusahaan dan satu persen dari pekerja," kata Agung Laksono setelah rapat koordinasi BPJS di Jakarta, Senin (1/7).

Dia berharap keputusan pemerintah kali ini dapat diterima oleh pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan, baik pekerja maupun pengusaha. Tujuannya, kata Agung, agar BPJS dapat berfungsi optimal mulai tahun depan.

"Sudah didiskusikan oleh pekerja dan Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia atau Apindo," ungkap Agung.

"Paying dues is able to pay its own workers, the working poor are not funded by the government. Formal workers alike is expect to contribute five per cent, four per cent of the company and one per cent of the workers," Agung Laksono said after a coordination meeting SSAB on Monday (1/7).

He hopes the government´s decision this time can be accepted by the parties concerned, both workers and employers. The goal, said the Agung, in order to function optimally SSAB starting next year.

"It has been discussed by the workers and the Indonesian Employers Association or Apindo," said Agung.
