CENTRAL PARK di New York digunakan sebagai lokasi syuting untuk film terbanyak ketimbang tempat lain di bumi. Venice Beach berada di peringkat kedua diikuti oleh Greenwich Village, Astoria dan Williamsburg di lima besar. Hanya loksi di luar AS yang masuk 10 besar adalah Universitas British Columbia dengan South Bank yang paling populer di Inggris.

Empat destinasi AS lainnya yang masuk sepuluh besar yakni UCLA (Legally Blonde), digunakan 106 kali, Coney Island (Pi) di 102 film, Times Square (The Devil Wears Prada) yang menampilkan 99 kali dan Harlem (Annie), digunakan 90 kali.

Satu-satunya lokasi di luar Amerika dalam sepuluh besar adalah University of British Columbia di tempat kesembilan setelah tampil di 91 film termasuk The Butterfly Effect dan Fifty Shades of Grey.

London South Bank masuk peringkat 11 setelah digunakan oleh kru film sebanyak 72 kali untuk film seperti Spectre dan Bourne Ultimatum.

Studi ini dilakukan dengan membandingkan situs Go Compare, yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dari pilihan ´lokasi syuting IMDb´.

NEW YORK´S Central Park has been used as a filming location for movies more than any other place on earth. Venice Beach in California came second followed by Greenwich Village, Astoria and Williamsburg in top five. Only location outside US in top ten was University of British Columbia with South Bank most popular in UK.

The most-filmed TV and movie locations around the world have been revealed - and New York´s Central Park is the place you´re most likely to see a star.

A new study has revealed that it´s US locations that make up most of the top ten filming locations  - perhaps not surprisingly - with Venice Beach, California, in second place followed by New York destinations Greenwich Village, Astoria and Williamsburg completing the top five.

The most filmed location outside of the US is the University of British Columbia in Canada, which is the ninth most popular location, while the most popular spot for filming in the UK is London´s South Bank, which ranks 11th.

Central Park took the top spot after being featured in 231 films and TV shows - more than any other location.

The big blockbusters filmed there include The Devil´s Advocate, Men in Black II, Spiderman 3 and Superman Returns.

Second place Venice Beach was the location for 161 productions, including American History X, American Pie and Million Dollar Baby.

Greenwich Village is third after featuring in one less production than Venice Beach. Among the films to use the area were Deep Impact and Thirteen Going On Thirty.

Four other US places make up the top ten in the shape of UCLA (Legally Blonde), used 106 times, Coney Island (Pi) in 102 films, Times Square (The Devil Wears Prada) featuring 99 times and Harlem (Annie), used 90 times.

The study was carried out by comparison site Go Compare, which used analysed data from IMDb´s ´filming locations´ section.

They included both films and TV series shot in these locations but excluded film studios from the data.

And the results also showed that US locations also dominated the top 20 overall with Greenpoint, New York (The Departed), in 12th being used 60 times and Hollywood Boulevard (Mulholland Drive) in 13th after being used 52 times.

Three London locations then followed, which include Canary Wharf, which was used by 50 films (Love Actually), Piccadilly Circus (Bridget Jones´ Diary) 49 films and Trafalgar Square (Skyfall) being shot 48 times.
