Palembang, Sumsel (B2B) - Penanggung Jawab Upsus Swasembada Pangan Provinsi Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) Momon Rusmono pagi ini, Selasa (21/8), memimpin ´gerakan percepatan olah lahan´ di Sumsel yang dipusatkan di Kecamatan Muara Telang, Kabupaten Banyuasin.
Pengolahan lahan sebelum menanam padi menjadi kunci keberhasilan panen, karena lahan sawah merupakan tempat mengambil cadangan hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman padi. Pertumbuhan tanaman akan dipengaruhi sejauh mana proses pengolahan sebelum menanam padi.
Untuk mencapai lokasi kegiatan, rombongan PJ Upsus Sumsel berangkat dari dermaga speedboat BKB di bawah Jembatan Ampera, tepian Sungai Musi menempuh perjalanan sungai hampir dua jam ke Desa Telang Jaya.
Kegiatan olah lahan direncanakan berlangsung di dua lokasi, yang diawali panen padi di eks UMK Telang dilanjutkan kegiatan pengolahan lahan. Kemudian rombongan bergerak ke lokasi kedua di desa lain pada kecamatan yang sama.
Momon Rusmono kemudian dialog dengan 17 kelompok tani (Poktan) setempat untuk mendorong petani mendukung kegiatan olah lahan dalam usaha budidaya padi untuk menciptakan keadaan tanah olah yang siap tanam baik secara fisis, kimia, maupun biologis sehingga tanaman yang dibudidayakan akan tumbuh dengan baik.
Target LTT
Sebagaimana diketahui, selama satu tahun terakhir, Momon Rusmono memimpin PJ Upsus Kalbar dan berhasil mendongkrak luas tambah tanam (LTT) provinsi.
Capaian LTT Kalbar di 14 kabupaten/kota hingga Mei 2018 mencapai 350.000 hektar atau surplus luas tanam 50.000 hektar, ketimbang periode yang sama tahun lalu hanya mencapai 306.000 hektar.
Hal itu terurai dari rapat pembahasan perkiraan produksi padi nasional 2018 di kota Solo, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, akhir Juli 2018 tentang pencapaian LTT yang ditargetkan Pemerintah RI. Provinsi Kalimantan Barat masuk peringkat ´tiga besar terbaik´ di 34 provinsi dari capaian luas dan persentase peningkatan luas tanam Oktober 2017 hingga Mei 2018 disingkat Okmei.
Dari peningkatan LTT nasional maka capaian Sumatera Utara yang tertinggi sebesar 78.000 hektar, Jawa Barat 71.000 hektar, dan Kalimantan Barat 69.000 hektar.
"Sementara dari persentase peningkatan LTT maka Kalbar juga berada di peringkat ketiga setelah Sulawesi Utara dan Sulawesi Barat. Dari hasil evaluasi capaian tiap provinsi tersebut maka Kalbar di peringkat pertama dari sisi persentase peningkatan luas tanam padi," kata Momon Rusmono di Kabupaten Sanggau akhir Juli lalu.

To reach the location, Upsus´s group departed from the BKB speedboat dock under the Ampera Bridge, from the banks of the Musi River take almost two hours to Telang Jaya village.
Land processing activities are planned to take place in two locations, which began bu rice harvestin the ex-UMK Telang followed by land processing activities in other villages in the same subdistrict.
Mr Rusmono then dialogues with 17 local farmer groups to encourage farmers to support land processing activities to develop processed soils that are ready for planting physically, chemically, or biologically so that the cultivated plants will grow well.
Rice Production
As is known for the past year, Mr Rusmono led PJ Upsus West Borneo and succeeded in boosting the province´s extensive cropping or the LTT.
The food crop extensification program in West Borneo province or the LTT Kalbar across the province until May 2018 reached 350,000 hectares or surplus planting area of 50,000 hectares, than the same period last year only 306,000 hectares.

"Meanwhile, the percentage increase of LTT, West Borneo is ranked third after North Sulawesi and West Sulawesi province. For the evaluation of each province´s achievements, West Borneo is ranked first in terms of percentage increase of rice planting area," Mr Rusmono said.
