Berlin - Malaga owner Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani has alleged that his side´s elimination from the Champions League is down to racism.
In the wake of los Boquerones´ 3-2 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund, in which a controversial late goal denied them a spot in the semi-final of Europe´s premier club competition, the outspoken Qatari declared he wants the closing stages of the game looked into due to apparent ill-treatment of his club.
"This is not football but racism clear of all," Al-Thani posted on his official Twitter account.
"I hope to open a thorough Uefa investigation regarding the Spanish club [which went] out this way, which does not affect the spirit of sport.
"Thank you very much [to] the team, you have been champions on the pitch. I´m sorry to go out this way [with] injustice and racism."
