Brasilia (B2B) - Prancis berhasil mengalahkan Nigeria 2-0 pada pertandingan 16 besar Piala Dunia 2014 di di Estadio Nacional, Brasilia, yang berlangsung hingga Selasa dini hari.
Kedua gol Prancis dihasilkan pada babak kedua yang berasal dari Paul Pogba dan gol bunuh diri kapten Elang Super Joseph Yobo, seperti dilansir Yahoo Sports.
Dengan hasil ini Prancis maju ke babak perempat final melawan pemenang antara Jerman dan Aljazair yang akan bertanding Selasa 03.00 WIB.
Gol tersebut tercipta setelah sejak awal babak kedua, pasukan Ayam Jantan memborbardir pertahanan Elang Super.
Gol Prancis diawal dari tendangan sudut. Bola berhasil ditepis oleh kiper Vincent Enyeama, namun arahnya tepat ke arah Pogba yang lalu menyundul ke arah gawang pada menit ke 79.
Pada tambahan waktu babak kedua, umpan dari pemain Prancis ke arah gawang Nigeria mengenai kaki Yobo yang justru mengarah ke gawang yang dikawal Vincent Enyeama yang sebetulnya bermain cukup cemerlang karena beberapa kali menyelamatkan menghalau tendangan lawan.

Enyeama, who plays with Lille in the French top flight, made sensational saves from Karim Benzema and Paul Pogba, but the latter capitalized to book a quarterfinal place when the keeper flapped at a 79th-minute corner in Brasilia.
A Jospeh Yobo own goal in stoppage time further compounded Nigeria's late misery.
The African nation entered the match under the cloud of a dispute about bonus payments with the Nigeria Football Federation, but Stephen Keshi's men played a full part in an entertaining goalless first half.
Emmanuel Emenike thought he put Nigeria ahead, only to fall foul of a marginal offside call, while a stunning stop by Enyeama somehow prevented Pogba from volleying France in front.
As in the first half, France weathered pressure and finished stronger - Victor Moses' goal-line clearance and further heroics from Enyeama denying Benzema either side of Yohan Cabaye clattering the crossbar.
And Pogba headed into an unguarded net before Yobo put through his own net to set up a last-eight tie for France against either Germany or Algeria on Friday.
