DENGAN memanfaatkan teknologi 3-D scanning dan 3-D printing, perusahaan cerdik itu dapat membuat miniatur diri Anda dengan detail yang rinci dalam tiga ukuran.
Omote 3D Shashin Kan mulai dibuka pada 24 November di Omotesando, Tokyo. Para pelanggan dapat menggunakan kostum apapun yang mereka mau dan dapat ´diabadikan´ secara individual atau berpasangan, sehingga miniatur itu dapat menjadi kenang-kenangan unik untuk para pasangan.
Miniatur itu dapat dipesan dalam tiga ukuran, kecil (10cm) seharga 21.000 yen (Rp2,5 juta), sedang (15cm) seharga 32.000 yen (Rp3,8 juta), dan besar (20cm) seharga 42.000 yen (Rp4,9 juta).
Meskipun harganya tidak murah, miniatur tersebut memang dibuat sangat detil, mulai dari kerutan baju hingga urat-urat yang terlihat.
Untuk membuat miniatur tersebut, Anda sebagai model harus datang ke studio Omote 3D lalu sekujur tubuh Anda akan dipindai dengan 3-D scanner oleh teknisi secara akurat 100%.
Data hasil pemindaian pun dimasukkan ke dalam 3-D printer yang akan menghasilkan model miniatur 3-D berwarna putih polos.
Miniatur tersebut akan diwarnai manual sesuai referensi data gambar untuk memastikan agar warna kulit, rambut, dan pakaiannya akurat 100%.
Proses mulai dari memindai tubuh hingga miniaturnya selesai butuh kira-kira empat minggu, seperti dikutip RocketNews 24.

Omote 3D Shashin Kan is opening its doors on November 24 in trendy Omotesando, Tokyo where it will begin churning out the frighteningly-detailed original figures. Customers are welcome to dress as they please and can be photographed either individually or as a pair, which would probably make a neat little memento for couples.
The figures are available in three sizes: kecil (10cm) seharga 21 ribu yen (US$260), sedang (15 cm) harganya 32 ribu yen (US$400) dan besar (20 cm) harganya 42 ribu yen (US$500).
Although they don’t come cheap, we think that the level of detail and quality of finish, not to mention the sheer novelty factor of the figures, makes them worth the asking price.
The entire process sees the model (you!) take centre stage in Omote 3D’s studio where a skilled technician uses a 3-D scanner to capture every inch of your ( hopefully clothed!) body…
That data is then fed into a 3-D printer which produces a plain white 3-D model, which is then hand painted using the original image data as a reference to ensure that the colours of skin, hair and clothing are 100% accurate.
From the day of the scan to the moment you’re facing yourself off against a ninja turtle figure, you’ll have about four weeks to kill, but we’re sure that, knowing a tiny version of yourself is about to arrive in the post, you’ll be excited the entire time.
