Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah memutuskan menambah impor daging sapi tanpa kuota, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pasar selama Juli 2013, karena masih tingginya permintaan konsumen mengakibatkan lonjakan harga sulit dikendalikan.
"Tambahan impor daging sapi oleh pemerintah tidak akan menggunakan sistem kuota, tapi sesuai kebutuhan pasar. Kondisi darurat sehingga pemerintah tidak menetapkan kuota," kata Menteri Pertanian Suswono kepada pers di kantor Menko Perekonomian di Jakarta, Rabu (17/7).
Menurut Suswono, pemerintah memutuskan menambah pasokan hingga akhir Juli 2013 untuk menstabilkan harga di pasaran, sehingga dapat dipatok harga daging sapi maksimal Rp75 ribu per kg.
Namun dia menolak memaparkan siapa saja importir yang akan dilibatkan untuk memenuhi impor daging sapi tersebut. "Masalah teknisnya di Kementerian Perdagangan."
