Jakarta (B2B) - Menteri Pertanian Suswono memastikan harga bawang di pasaran dalam pekan ini akan turun hingga Rp15 ribu per kg. Lonjakan harga yang terjadi dalam beberapa pekan terakhir lantaran tertahannya bawang putih impor di pelabuhan.
"Insya Allah minggu ini sudah bisa berkurang, janjinya dari pengusaha akan melepas di harga Rp15 ribu (per kg)," kata Suswono ditemui di Kementerian Keuangan, Jakarta, Kamis (21/3/2013)
Sayangnya, ketika harga bawang akan turun, harga komoditas lain di pasar seperti cabai mulai merangkak naik. Menanggapi hal ini, Suswono menyebut pihaknya masih akan mendiskusikan hal ini dengan KPPU.
"Itu yang nanti Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU) sendiri kan sedang berusaha mengurus dan mengkaji apa benar itu terjadi permainan harga dari rekan-rekan pedagang atau murni dari kekurangan suplai," tandasnya.
