Jakarta (B2B) - Kementerian Pertanian menyatakan harga daging sapi masih di atas Rp80 ribu per kg lantaran merebaknya isu hormon pertumbuhan pada daging sapi impor. Akibatnya, masyarakat masih membatasi konsumsi dari pasokan daging sapi yang disediakan pemerintah melalui Badan Urusan Logistik (Bulog).
"Operasi pasar oleh Bulog tidak serta-merta mampu menurunkan harga karena munculnya isu daging sapi yang mengandung hormon. Isu ini membatasi konsumsi dari pasokan daging yang disediakan pemerintah," kata Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Pengolahan dan Pemasaran Hasil Pertanian (PPHP) Kementerian Pertanian, Yazid Taufik kepada pers di Jakarta, Kamis pagi (1/8).
Yazid menambahkan, pasokan 3 ribu ton daging sapi impor dari Bulog serta tambahan 1.500 sapi siap potong, yang diimpor Kementerian Perdagangan dipersiapkan pemerintah untuk mengamankan pasokan dan menurunkan harga daging sapi sehingga dapat terjangkau oleh masyarakat untuk menghadapi Lebaran.
Berdasarkan data Kementerian Pertanian, harga rata-rata mingguan daging sapi impor pada Juni 2013 pada tingkat eceran mencapai Rp77 ribu per kilogram, sementara pada Juli 2013 harga naik sekitar 3,2% di beberapa kota besar. Di Jakarta, harga daging sapi impor turun 0,24%. Untuk sapi siap potong, harga di tingkat peternak pada Juli 2013 mencapai Rp35.389 per kilogram, naik dibandingkan Juni 2013 yang mencapai Rp34.169 per kilogram.

Yazid added, the supply of 3 thousand tons of beef imported from Bulog and an additional 1,500 beef cattle, which are imported by the Ministry of Trade prepared by the government to secure supply and reduce beef prices, making it affordable by the people for the Eid al-Fitr.
Based on data from the Ministry of Agriculture, the average weekly price of imported beef in June 2013 at the retail level of Rp 77,000 per kilogram, while in July 2013 the price rose about 3.2% in some major cities. In Jakarta, the price of beef imports fell 0.24%. For beef cattle, breeders price in July 2013 reached Rp 35,389 per kilogram, an increase compared to June 2013 which reached Rp 34,169 per kilogram.
