Suswono beralasan kementeriannya justru mengusulkan impor daging dan sapi tahun 2013 yang sudah ditetapkan sebesar 80 ribu ton tidak ditambah.
Dia juga menyebut kebijakan itu sebagai upaya untuk memaksimalkan produksi dalam negeri.
Suswono mengatakan masalah kuota impor daging sapi ini diputuskan melalui rapat lintas kementerian dalam rapat dengan Menko Perekonomian.
