Jakarta (B2B) - Pemerintah mengakui harga daging sapi di pasaran yang kini masih berada di kisaran rata-rata Rp 90 ribu per kg masih terlampau tinggi. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah akan mengambil sejumlah langkah untuk menurunkan harga daging sapi hingga menjadi rata-rata Rp 76 ribu per kg seperti kondisi pada 2012.
"Itu harga yang harus kita kejar," tutur Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Hatta Rajasa dalam konferensi pers seusai memimpin rapat koordinasi kebijakan stabilisasi harga pangan pokok, Rabu (17/4). Turut hadir Menteri Pertanian Suswono, Menteri Perdagangan Gita Wirjawan dan Menteri Perindustrian MS Hidayat serta sejumlah pejabat terkait lainnya.
Hatta menjelaskan, dalam rapat koordinasi diputuskan perlunya menambah pasokan di lapangan akibat adanya peningkatan permintaan. Pasokan tersebut akan diutamakan berasal dari importir yang telah mendapatkan kuota. "Mereka agar mempercepat suplai ke pasar," ujarnya.
Importir yang sengaja atau lalai dengan tidak mempercepat suplai ke pasar, kata Hatta, akan dikenai sanksi yang keras. Karena ini akan memengaruhi rantai supply and demand walaupun kuota daging impor telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah.
Sebagai catatan, pemerintah menetapkan kuota impor daging sapi setara 80 ribu ton. Rinciannya untuk daging sapi 32 ribu ton dan sapi bakalan hidup setara 267 ribu ekor. Sebanyak 70% dari keseluruhan alokasi daging beku setara 22.400 ton akan dialokasikan pada semester pertama dan sisanya sisanya untuk semester kedua.
Berdasarkan data dari Badan Karantina Pertanian Kementerian Pertanian, sampai dengan 5 April 2013, realisasi impor daging beku telah mencapai 41,8% atau sekitar 8.538 ton dari alokasi pada semester pertama 22.400 ton. Sedangkan realisasi impor sapi bakalan baru menyentuh 40,7% atau setara 52 ribu ekor.
