Photographer Captures Hong Kong`s Dramatic Transformation
FOTOGRAFER Hong Kong Yu Chun Yu melintas di kawasan Old Town Central dengan foto jadul tentang kota metropolitan tersebut.
Dia melintas jalan-jalan yang persis sama untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh perubahan kota setelah bertahun-tahun berselang.
Pottinger Street, misalnya, atau dikenal sebagai penduduk setempat sebagai Stone Slabs Street karena tangga yang tidak rata, merupakan salah satu jalan tertua di Hong Kong dan tidak mengejutkan terlihat sangat berbeda saat ini dibandingkan dekade 1930an.

He took his own snaps of exactly the same streets to chart how much they have changed over the years.
Pottinger Street, for example, otherwise known to locals as Stone Slabs Street thanks to its uneven paving, is one of Hong Kong`s oldest streets and unsurprisingly looks very different today compared to the 1930s.
And Queen`s Road Central, now a thriving shopping district, is almost unrecognisable when compared to a portrait of it from 1962, before it was dominated by skyscrapers.
