NICOLAS Anelka´s remarkable football journey continued when he joined his SIXTH Premier League club on Thursday afternoon.
West Brom are the latest outfit to secure the services of the Frenchman, who has previously played for Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bolton and Chelsea.
The 34-year-old has been prolific over the years but will he be able to recapture the form that earned him a reputation as one of the league´s most potent strikers?
Arsenal 1997-99
Anelka moved to Highbury for £500,000 as a fresh-faced 17-year-old. Within months he was a first-team regular, had won the Double and his form earned him the accolade of PFA Young Player of the Year in 1998-99. He eventually fell out of favour with the Arsenal fans and became known as ´Le Sulk´, before joining Real Madrid for £23.5million. That´s a tidy profit.

Liverpool 2001-02 (loan)
Gerard Houllier brought Anelka back to the Premier League with a temporary move in December 2001. The striker scored his first goal in a 1-1 draw against Everton and became a hit with the supporters at Anfield. Liverpool decided not to keep hold of the France striker, however, instead signing El Hadji Diouf. Which was a good move.
