OPERA mengenalkan proyek terakhirnya, mobile browser berbasis-WebKit yang dinamai "Opera Ice", yang didesain khusus untuk format layar perangkat populer, smartphone dan tablet, termasuk iPhone dan iPad.
Dalam video demo, aplikasi browser teranyar Opera itu akan bekerja pada platform WebKit, bukan Presto.
Browser Opera Ice tidak menggunakan tombol-tombol (buttons) dalam pengoperasiannya, cukup dengan sentuhan untuk mengontrol elemen-elemen kunci seperti forwards dan backwards.
"Itu satu (aplikasi) sentuh penuh dan browser (yang) fokus-tablet," kata CEO Opera Lars Boilesen dalam video demo yang dilansir Pocket-lint dalam laporannya.
OPERA Software, the company behind the popular browser of the same name, will launch a new smartphone and tablet browser called Opera Ice in February, Pocket-lint can exclusively reveal.
Afterwards, product managers took to the stage to demo the new browser, which will be run on the WebKit, not Presto, platform.
The new Opera Ice browser will be based around hiding the technology as much as possible and embracing rich applications. It will ditch all buttons and instead use gestures to control key elements like forwards and backwards.
"This is a full touch and tablet-focused browser," said Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera.
