Jakarta (B2B) - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) membantah memasang peranti lunak (software) pada server yang digunakan untuk mengawasi trafik dan konten yang diakses para pengguna.
"Tudingan yang menyebutkan bahwa Telkom memasang alat "spy" pada server sama sekali tidak benar. Kami memastikan Telkom tidak mempunyai aplikasi untuk memata-matai pelanggan," kata Direktur Utama Telkom Arief Yahya, melalui sambungan telepon kepada Menteri BUMN Dahlan Iskan di Jakarta, Selasa (19/3).
Pada kesempatan itu, Dahlan di hadapan sejumlah wartawan menghubungi Arief Yahya, untuk mengetahui perihal tudingan pemasangan alat mata-mata tersebut.
Melalui pengeras suara ponsel Dahlan Iskan tersebut, Arief menjelaskan bahwa artikel tersebut tidak berdasar.
"Artikel itu menyebutkan ada alamat internet protocol (IP) milik Telkom, tapi disimpulkan adalah pelanggan yang transit di jaringan Telkom," ujarnya.
Piranti Mata-mata
Sebelumnya diberitakan, PT Telkom Tbk dan Biznet, dua Penyelenggara Jasa Internet (PJI) terbesar di Indonesia dituding telah memasang piranti lunak (software) mata-mata pada servernya yang digunakan untuk mengawasi trafik dan konten yang diakses para penggunanya.
"Dugaan pemasangan software mata-mata pada server dilakukan di 25 negara," demikian laporan Citizen Lab, University Toronto dalam materi berjudul "You Only Click Twice: FinFishers Global Proliferation, seperti dikutip dalam situs Citizenlab.org.
Disebutkan, ke-25 negara tersebut adalah Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brunei, Canada, Czech Republic, Estonia, Ethiopia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, Qatar, Serbia, Singapore, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam.
Telah ditemukan server komando dan kontrol untuk "backdoors" FinSpy pada server Telkom dan Biznet. FinSpy, bagian dari solusi pemantauan jarak jauh Gamma International FinFisher.
FinFisher adalah perangkat lunak yang bekerja secara remote dan mengawasi pengguna, yang dikembangkan Gamma International GmbH. Produk FinFisher dijual secara eksklusif untuk menegakkan aturan terutama terkait dengan penyadapan.
