Milan (B2B) - Roma mengatasi Udinese 3-2 untuk memperpendek selisih poin dari pemuncak klasemen Juventus menjadi 14 poin dini hari tadi, sekaligus mengembalikan selisih tiga poin dari Napoli yang menempati peringkat tiga.
Pada menit 22 Roma unggul berkat gol Francesco Totti, lalu digandakan pada menit 30 oleh Matta Destro, seperti dilansir Yahoo Sports.
Udinese memperkecil kedudukan pada menit 51 berkat gol Giampiero Pinzi, namun pada menit 69 Roma menambah lagi gol dari Vasilis Torosidis, sebelum sundulan Dusan Basta pada menit 80 membuat Udinese mempertipis kekalahan menjadi 2-3.
Roma memperkuat posisinya di tempat kedua yang berarti jatah otomatis ke Liga Champions.
Totti menyambut gol keenamnya musim ini dengan berkata kepada Sky Sport Italia: "Senang bisa mencetak gol namun yang penting memenangi pertandingan ini untuk memastikan kami berada di depan Napoli. Kami harus mempertahan posisi kedua."

Earlier, third-placed Napoli had pulled level on points with Roma thanks to a 90th minute strike from Gonzalo Hugauin which secured the points away to Torino.
However Roma restored their three-point cushion on Rafael Benitez´s side after a tense finale caused by Dusan Basta´s 80th minute header for the visitors.
Roma have reinforced their grip on second place, synonymous with the last automatic Champions League qualifying spot, but despite having a game in hand the Giallorossi remain 14 points adrift of Juventus, who had Andrea Pirlo to thank for an 89th minute winner in a tense finale at Genoa on Sunday.
Totti, meanwhile, welcomed his sixth goal of the season but told Sky Sport Italia: "It was nice to score but the important thing was to win this game to make sure we stay in front of Napoli. We have to defend second place."
