Jakarta (B2B) - Presiden Joko Widodo mengakui kualitas beras Bulog yang saat ini beredar di pasaran memang sedang buruk karena merupakan stok lama dari beberapa bulan lalu.
Presiden ketika blusukan ke Pasar Modern BSD City di Tangerang Selatan, Banten, Senin, mendapatkan keluhan dari pedagang di pasar itu soal kualitas beras Bulog yang jelek meskipun harganya masih standar.
"Itu memang stok-stok lama, memang seperti itu, tidak usah ditutupilah," kata Presiden ketika ditanya wartawan soal keluhan pedagang tentang beras bulog. Oleh sebab itu, Presiden berjanji akan memperbaharui dengan melepas stok-stok baru.
Kepala negara memastikan stok Bulog akan diperbarui dengan stok baru.
"Bulan ini Bulog membeli beras dari petani untuk mengganti stok lama dengan beras baru. Memang stok lama semua, sampai hitam begitu. Memang faktanya seperti itu. Kita ngerti semua," katanya.
Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesian President Joko Widodo admitted that the rice supplied by the State Logistics Agency, known as the Bulog, was of poor quality as it was from an old stock.
While visiting BSD Citys modern market in South Tangerang on Monday, the President Jokowi received complaints from traders in the market about the inferior quality of rice from Bulog.
"The rice is actually of old stock and the quality is like that. We do not have to cover it up," the president stated when questioned about the complaints put forth by the rice traders.
The head of state vowed to improve the quality of rice supplied by Bulog by releasing new stocks.
"This month, Bulog will buy the rice from farmers and replace the old stocks with new ones. The old stocks were of poor quality, and we understand it," Jokowi remarked.
