Jakarta (B2B) - Direktur Utama Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Sofyan Basir menegaskan Bank BRI tidak khawatir menyalurkan kredit kepada petani, karena risikonya tergolong rendah melalui Simpanan Pedesaan (Simpedes).

Dari total kredit mikro yang disalurkan Bank BRI, sektor pertanian mendapat 17% atau Rp27,3 triliun terhadap kredit mikro BRI. Sementara total kredit mikro yang disalurkan Bank BRI hingga akhir 2012 mencapai Rp160,8 triliun.

"Risiko kredit kami rendah di sektor pertanian. Jujur, rendah. Apalagi sekarang harga beras, jagung dan kelapa sawit sedang bagus dan penyaluran kreditnya juga aman," kata Sofyan Basir di Jakarta, Jumat (19/4).

Sofyan menambahkan, tabungan petani di Simpanan Pedesaan (Simpedes) pun terus meningkat, karena tabungan petani menjadi akses penyaluran dana BRI kepada para petani. "Jadi kami tidak takut memberi kredit pertanian."

Menurut Sofyan, pengembalian kredit petani mengalami hambatan biasanya lantaran masalah keluarga seperti sakit, atau karena pasar terbakar. "Akibatnya kredit petani jadi macet, karena tidak ada asuransi yang menalangi."

From total micro-credit disbursed by Bank BRI, the agricultural sector received 17% or Rp27, 3 trillion to micro credit from BRI. Meanwhile, the total micro-credit disbursed by Bank BRI until the end of 2012 reached Rp160, 8 trillion.

"Our credit risk is low in the agricultural sector. Honestly, low. Especially now that the price of rice, maize and palm oil are also good and safe lending," said Sofyan Basir in Jakarta, Friday (19/4).

Sofyan added, saving farmers in the Rural Savings (Simpedes) continues to increase, because the savings of farmers to access BRI funds to farmers. "So we are not afraid to give credit to the agricultural."

He said the repayment farmers usually have problems because of family problems such as illness, or because the market on fire. "As a result farmers credit so bad, because no insurance company would cover."
