Jakarta (B2B) - Subsektor perkebunan meraih devisa sebesar US$21,4 miliar dengan volume ekspor 23,3 juta ton hingga triwulan ketiga 2013. Subsektor perkebunan memberi kontribusi 97,7% total ekspor dari sektor pertanian dan dari sisi devisa sebanyak 96,3%.

Direktur Jenderal Perkebunan di Kementerian Pertanian, Gamal Nasir mengatakan hingga kuartal ketiga 2013, total ekspor komoditas pertanian mencapai 23,89 juta ton, dengan total perolehan devisa US$22,2 miliar.

"Perolehan utama devisa dari subsektor perkebunan ditopang oleh komoditi minyak kelapa sawit sebesar US$11,5 miliar, karet US$5,27 miliar, kakao US$780 juta dan kopi US$920 juta hingga triwulan III tahun lalu," kata Gamal Nasir kepada pers tentang Capaian Tahun 2013 dan Rencana Program Pembangunan Perkebunan di Jakarta, Jumat (3/1).

Menurutnya, neraca perdagangan subsektor perkebunan mengalami surplus US$19,5 miliar, atau menurun dibandingkan 2012 yang mencapai US$27,5 miliar.

Terkait kontribusi subsektor perkebunan terhadap pertumbuhan Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) sektor pertanian tahun 2013, Gamal Nasir menyatakan kontribusinya hingga triwulan ketiga 2013 mencapai 17,4%.

"Kami memprediksi, kontribusi sektor perkebunan akhir 2013 bakal tumbuh 20 persen atau melampaui Rp170 triliun. Depresiasi rupiah mendorong pertumbuhan beberapa komoditas perkebunan yang berorientasi ekspor," ungkap Gamal Nasir.

Gamal Nasir, Director General of Plantation at the Agriculture Ministry said until third quarter of 2013, total exports of agricultural commodities reached 23.89 million tons, total of foreign exchange U.S. $ 22.2 billion.

"Foreign exchange biggest of palm oil at U.S. $ 11.5 billion, rubber reached U.S. $ 5.27 billion, cocoa U.S. $ 780 million, and the coffee was U.S. $ 920 million until the third quarter of last year," Gamal Nasir told reporters in Jakarta about achievements in 2013 plantations development programs and plans on Friday (3/1).

According to him, plantations sub-sector trade balance surplus of U.S. $ 19.5 billion, down from 2012 which reached U.S. $ 27.5 billion.

Related contribution to the growth of plantations sub-sector Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of agriculture sector in 2013, Gamal Nasir stated plantation subsector contributed to the third quarter of 2013 reached 17.4%.

"We were predicting, plantations sub-sector contributing the end of 2013 will grow 20 percent or exceed Rp170 trillion. Depreciation of the rupiah to encourage the growth of export-oriented commodities," Gamal Nasir said.
