Produksi Padi Melimpah, Beras Impor `Ngumpet` di Gudang Bulog

Jakarta (B2B) - Perusahaan Umum Badan Urusan Logistik (Perum Bulog) memastikan 900.000 ton beras impor saat ini masih tersimpan rapi di gudang Bulog, karena pemerintah mengimpor beras untuk cadangan nasional sementara konsumsi nasional dipenuhi oleh beras dari petani.
"Hingga hari ini penduduk Indonesia belum mengonsumsi beras impor, Bulog masih menyimpan beras impor di gudang-gudang Bulog sebagai cadangan nasional," kata Direktur Pengadaan Bulog, Wahyu di Jakarta pada Rabu (21/1).
Menurutnya, sesuai komitmen pemerintah dan Bulog untuk mewujudkan kedaulatan pangan, kebutuhan konsumsi beras penduduk sebanyak 2,6 juta ton per bulan sampai saat ini mampu dipenuhi dari produksi dalam negeri.
Menanggapi hal itu, Kepala Pusat Data dan Sistem Informasi Pertanian, Suwandi merujuk pada data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) per 2 November 2015 dari Angka Ramalan II (Aram II) 2015 bahwa produksi padi mencapai 74,99 juta ton gabah kering giling (GKG) atau meningkat 5,84% dari produksi 2014.
Suwandi menambahkan dari produksi gabah tersebut diperoleh beras setara 43,61 juta ton yang berarti surplus untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan dan nonpangan sekitar 33,55 juta ton beras nasional.
"Surplus beras sebanyak 10,25 juta ton saat ini tersebar di produsen, penggilingan, pedagang, industri, rumah makan, restoran, konsumen dan Bulog," kata Suwandi.
Menurutnya, ketersediaan beras dalam negeri saat ini melimpah, hal ini berkat kerja keras Pemerintah mengantisipasi fenomena El Nino pada 2015 yang dampaknya lebih berat ketimbang El Nino pada 1997.
Dia menambahkan, pada El Nino 1997, Indonesia mengimpor beras hingga 7,1 juta ton untuk memenuhi konsumsi 202 juta penduduk, sedangkan pada 2015 dengan penduduk 252 juta jiwa belum mengonsumsi beras impor.
"Untuk diketahui pada 2015 Indonesia bahkan telah mengekspor beras kelas khusus atau organik sebanyak 148 ton sesuai data BPS dari realisasi hingga November 2015," katanya lagi.
Selanjutnya kondisi ketersediaan beras pada Januari hingga Maret 2016 dipastikan melimpah, karena pada Februari 2016 akan berlangsung panen raya dengan perkiraan produksi 5 juta ton gabah setara 3,1 juta ton beras.
"Kemudian pada Maret 2016 akan dipanen 12,56 juta ton gabah setara 7,9 juta ton beras, sedangkan konsumsi beras penduduk hanya 2,6 juta ton per bulan," ungkap Suwandi.

According to him, the government and Bulog is committed to achieve food sovereignty, while the rice needs of the population reached 2.6 million tonnes per month was met by domestic production.
Head of Data and Information System for Agriculture, Suwandi refers to the data of Indonesian Statistics Agency about 2015 Forecast Figures II that rice production reached 74.99 million tons of milled rice, up 5.84% from 2014 production.
Suwandi added that the grain harvest produce 43.61 million tons of rice, which means surplus to meet the needs of food and non-food 33.55 million tons of domestic rice.
"Surplus of 10.25 million tonnes of rice currently in producers, mills, merchants, industrial, restaurant, consumer and the Bulog," Suwandi said.
He added that the current domestic rice supply is abundant, because the hard work of government in anticipation of El Nino phenomenon in 2015, the impact is more severe than El Nino in 1997.
He added El Nino in 1997, rice imports reached 7.1 million tons to meet the consumption of 202 million inhabitants at the time, while in 2015 with 252 million people not consuming import rice.
"As known in 2015, Indonesia exported 148 tons of organic rice according to the BPS of realization until November 2015," he said.
Furthermore, the supply of rice from January to March 2016 certainly abundant, because harvest season in February 2016 with an estimated production of 5 million tons of grain equivalent of 3.1 million tons of rice.
"Then in March 2016 will be harvested 12.56 million tons of grain equivalent of 7.9 million tons of rice, while the national rice consumption of 2.6 million tons per month," he said.
