Mantan bintang tim nasional Inggris, Ferdinand, 34, terkena lemparan koin, setelah tendangan bebas Robin van Persie membuat United unggul 3-2.
Mereka adalah Les Berry, Chartlton (1981), Alvin Martin, West Ham (1985), Nige Clouch, Nottingham Forest (1986), Terry Butcher, Inggris (1989), Colin Hendry, Blackburn (1994), David Batty, Newcastle (1996), Kevin Horlock, Manchester City (2000).
COPS were Sunday night (9/12) hunting a soccer yob who hurled a 2p coin at Man United ace Rio Ferdinand — almost blinding him.
It was thrown from the crowd in the final seconds of the derby match at Manchester City, and left the defender with blood gushing from a wound just above his left eye.
Then, as Ferdinand was treated by the touchline at the Etihad Stadium, a Blues fan ran on to the pitch and tried to attack him again.
Ex-England star Ferdinand, 34, made light of the coin incident, which came after Robin van Persie scored United’s 3-2 winner.
Ferdinand not the first to leave the football pitch covered in claret, of course - as this blood-curdling gallery proves. If you´re squeamish, you might want to look away now...
