Jakarta (B2B) - Kementerian Pertanian RI membentuk tim khusus bersama Badan Urusan Logistik, Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU) dan TNI AD untuk mendukung penyerapan gabah di tingkat petani secara maksimal di seluruh Indonesia, dengan target penyerapan 3,4 juta ton hingga Mei 2016.
"Kementan dan Bulog bagaikan saudara kembar, dan Kementan wajib menyokong kinerja Bulog melalui melalui koordinasi dengan para kepala dinas provinsi hingga kabupaten dan kota untuk menyerap gabah petani, dan Bulog juga didukung TNI AD untuk mengawal dan mengamankan proses penyerapan gabah petani," kata Menteri Pertanian RI Andi Amran Sulaiman kepada pers di Jakarta pada Kamis (10/3).
Mentan Amran Sulaiman sebagai ketua tim khusus menambahkan, meningkatnya pasokan gabah menyusul panen padi pada Maret hingga April 2016 berpotensi menekan harga gabah di tingkat petani, merujuk pada data Kementan tentang harga gabah di tingkat petani sekitar Rp3.000 per kg padahal seharusnya minimal Rp3.600 sesuai rekomendasi pemerintah.
Tampak hadir Direktur Utama Perum Bulog, Djarot Kusumayakti, Ketua KPPU Syarkawi Rauf, Wakil Asisten Teritorial Kepala Staf TNI AD Brigjen TNI Mohammad Taufiq; Direktur Jenderal Tanaman Pangan Kementan, Hasil Sembiring.
Dia menambahkan, pemerintah terpaksa menempuh langkah intervensi untuk menyerap gabah petani dengan harga yang layak demi menyelamatkan harga gabah sesuai arahan Presiden RI Joko Widodo pada Senin (7/3).
"Sesuai arahan Presiden Jokowi, kami putuskan untuk membentuk tim yang mendorong dan mengawasi penyerapan gabah petani, sehingga dapat mempercepat penyerapan enam hingga delapan juta ton gabah atau setara dengan tiga hingga empat juta ton beras.
Menurutnya, tim dibentuk setelah dia melakukan roadshow dari Jawa Barat hingga Jawa Timur pekan lalu, dan mendapati fakta memprihatinkan tentang anjloknya harga gabah di tingkat petani.
"Saya merasa miris karena dalam dua pekan terakhir harga gabah jatuh hingga Rp3.000 per kg, saya keliling selama 10 hari ke 18 kabupaten, dan melihat langsung faktanya di lapangan bahwa harga gabah rata-rata di bawah HPP (harga pembelian pemerintah)," kata Mentan.
Amran Sulaiman berharap tim khusus tersebut dapat menyelamatkan harga gabah di tingkat petani, untuk mengantisipasi panen raya Maret hingga April 2016 di seluruh Indonesia.

"The agriculture ministry and the Bulog like twin brothers, and the ministry are required to support the performance of Bulog in coordination with the head of department of agriculture in the area, and Bulog also supported Indonesian army to secure the transaction process of Bulog with the farmers," Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman told the press here on Thursday (3/10).
Minister Sulaiman as chairman of the special teams added, the increased supply of unhulled rice after rice harvest in March and April 2016 could potentially depress price received by farmers, refer to the ministry data on price received by farmers is 3,000 rupiah per kg, which should have a minimum of 3,600 rupiah per kg as recommended from the government.
It was attended by President Director of Bulog, Djarot Kusumayakti, Chairman of KPPU Syarkawi Rauf, Deputy Assistant Territorial Indonesian Army Chief of Staff Brigadier General Mohammad Taufiq; and Director General of Food Crops, Hasil Sembiring.
He added the government was forced intervene to buy unhulled rice from farmers at a reasonable price, in order to save unhulled rice prices as directed by the President Joko Widodo on Monday (7/3).
"Under the direction of President Widodo, we decided to form a team to encourage and oversee purchase of unhulled rice from farmers, to speed up the purchase of six to eight million tonnes of unhulled rice equivalent of three to four million tonnes of rice.
According to him, the team was formed after he made a roadshow of West Java to East Java last week, and found the fact of concern to the unhulled rice prices at the farm level.
"I feel sad because in the past two weeks the price fell to 3,000 rupiah per kg, I monitored for 10 days to 18 districts, and looked straight the fact the average price below the purchase price by the government," Mr Sulaiman said.
Minister Sulaiman hopes the special team can save the production of farmers, to anticipate the rice harvest in March until April 2016 across Indonesia.
