Jakarta (B2B) - Komisi IV DPR mengusulkan kepada pemerintah agar disediakan alokasi BBM bersubsidi kepada petani sehingga dapat mengerjakan sawahnya. Kementerian Pertanian menyatakan dukungan terhadap usulan DPR, karena kebijakan tersebut dapat meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, khususnya peningkatan bahan bakar nabati.
Usulan tersebut disampaikan Anggota Komisi IV DPR, Ibnu Multazam pada rapat kerja dengan Menteri Pertanian Suswono di gedung parlemen Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu (10/4).
"Saya berharap usulan ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan pemerintah, karena selama ini kan yang mendapat jatah atau kuota BBM subsidi hanya nelayan tapi petani tidak. Jangan sampai petani tidak dapat mengggarap lahannya karena tidak mendapatkan solar," kata Ibnu Multazam.
Dia menambahkan, pemberian kuota BBM subsidi tentunya sangat bermanfaat bagi petani dan pemerintah harus dapat menyediakan. "Kalau memang mau memajukan sektor pertanian untuk mencapai swasembada pangan."
Mentan Suswono menghargai usulan DPR demi kepentingan petani, karena dapat meningkatkan infrastruktur pertanian dan pendapatan petani dari hasil produksi yang meningkat.
"Dari rapat terakhir dengan Kementerian ESDM, sudah ada pembicaraan. Tapi berapa kuota persisnya saya lupa, tapi yang jelas akan dialokasikan," kata Suswono.

"I hope this proposal can be considered by the government, as long as it´s a quota or the quota of subsidized fuel only fishermen but not farmers. Avoid farmer can not work his land because it does not get diesel fuel," said Ibn Multazam.
He added, providing subsidized fuel quota is very useful for the farmers and the government should be able to provide. "If they want to advancing the the agricultural sector to achieve food self-sufficiency."
Minister of Agriculture Suswono appreciate the House proposal for the interests of farmers, because it can improve agricultural infrastructure and income of farmers increased production.
"From the last meeting with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, there have been discussions. But I forget exactly how much quota, but that obviously will be allocated," said Suswono.
