KEMENTERIAN Pertanian menerapkan empat langkah strategis untuk mendukung keberhasilan penerapan ekonomi kerakyatan. Keempat langkah tersebut meliputi kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM), manajemen modern pengelolaan sumber daya, pengembangan produk berorientasi pasar dan pemberdayaan masyarakat.
Penegasan tersebut dikemukakan Menteri Pertanian, Suswono yang menilai diperlukan empat langkah strategis mendukung untuk keberhasilan penerapan ekonomi kerakyatan.
"Pertama, peningkatan kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam penguasaan dan pemanfaatan inovasi dan teknologi terkini di bidang informasi dan teknologi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas," kata Mentan Suswono saat ditemui di kantor Kementerian Perekonomian di Jakarta, Senin (25/12).
Kedua, penerapan sistem manajemen moderen dalam pengelolaan sumber daya secara bersama, untuk mengatasi kepemilikan sumber daya yang sempit/kecil dengan melalui cooperative farming/bisnis, koperasi/usaha bersama, partnership/kemitraan dengan usaha besar.
Ketiga, pengembangan produk berorientasi pasar melalui demand/market driven, serta kemitraan untuk memanfaatkan jaringan pasar nasional/global.
Keempat, pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk mengatasi kelemahan yang terdiri dari, permodalan, keahlian, pemasaran, produktivitas dan usaha bersama. Melalui permodalan dengan meningkatkan akses terhadap sumber permodalan dan menyediakan pembiayaan (kredit) murah.
"Keahlian, dengan pelatihan ketrampilan usaha/kewirausahaan dan ketrampilan teknis. Pemasaran, pengintegrasian usaha ke dalam jaring pemasaran nasional/global. Produktivitas, akses terhadap teknologi peningkatan efisiensi dan daya saing," tambah Mentan Suswono.
Sedangkan melalui usaha bersama adalah dengan memberi pendampingan pengelolaan usaha bersam/berkelompok secara berkelanjutan.
"Ekonomi kerakyatan tidak hanya memberdayakan, akan tetapi juga mensejahterakan rakyat," kata Suswono.

Second, the application of modern management systems in the management of shared resources, to overcome the ownership of the resources of the narrow/small through cooperative farming/business, cooperative/joint venture, partnership/partnership with big business.
Third, market-oriented product development through demand/market driven, and partnerships to capitalize on market network of national/global.
Fourth, empowering people to overcome the weaknesses that consists of, capital, expertise, marketing, productivity and joint ventures. Through capital by increasing access to sources of capital and providing financing (credit) cheap.
"The expertise, skills training business/entrepreneurial and technical skills. Marketing, integration of marketing effort into the net national/global. Productivity, access to technology improving efficiency and competitiveness," added Minister of Agriculture Suswono.
Meanwhile, through the joint venture is to provide assistance with business management / group in a sustainable manner.
"The economy of the people, not only empowering, but also the welfare of the people," said Suswono.
