Jakarta (B2B) - Kementerian Pertanian tidak mengeluarkan larangan impor buah dan sayuran, tapi apabila volumenya melampaui batas maksimal maka perusahaan pemasok akan diberi sanksi berupa larangan impor hingga beberapa kali.
Menteri Pertanian Suswono menegaskan, pihaknya hanyalah melakukan pengaturan jenis buah dan sayur impor, volume impor dan jadwal impor demi melindungi kepentingan petani Indonesia.
"Saat panen raya misalnya, pembiaran impor buah dan sayur justru membahayakan hasil pertanian lokal. Makanya kita atur berapa volumenya supaya tidak mengganggu pemasaran produk lokal," kata Suswono.
Langkah Kementerian Pertanian ini penting agar petani dan pedagang lokal tetap mendapat keuntungan dari hasil panen yang ada.
Mentan Suswono mengakui, Kementerian Perdagangan memang memberi rekomendasi jumlah yang bisa didistribusikan di Indonesia. "Ada rekomendasi impor produk holtikultura atau RIPH," katanya.
Meskipun ada RIPH, apabila volumenya melampui batas kewajaran, kata Mentan, pihaknya pasti akan memberikan sanksi.
Sebagaimana diketahui, Kementerian Pertanian melarang impor 13 jenis holtikultura selama enam bulan yakni kentang, kubis, wortel, cabai, nanas, melon, pisang, mangga, pepaya, durian, bunga krisan, bunga anggrek, bunga heliconia.

Although there RIPH, if the volume exceeded the limits of normality, according to Minister of Agriculture, it will definitely give sanction.
As known, the Ministry of Agriculture banned the import of 13 kinds of horticulture for six months ie potatoes, cabbage, carrots, chilli, pineapple, melon, banana, mango, papaya, durian, chrysanthemums, orchids, heliconia flowers.
