Jakarta (B2B) - Tahun ini Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) akan memperkenalkan dua skema sertifikasi perkebunan kelapa sawit berkelanjutan bagi petani, yakni skema untuk petani plasma dan skema petani swadaya. Skema ini berbeda dengan skema sertifikasi bagi perkebunan besar.

Bagi petani plasma hampir semua pelaksanaan manajemen perkebunan ditangani oleh kebun inti sedangkan kebun rakyat swadaya, semua kegiatan dilaksanakan sendiri," kata Sekretaris Jenderal Kementerian Pertanian, Hari Priyono saat membuka Seminar ISPO mewakili Menteri Pertanian Suswono di Hotel Grand Melia Kuningan Jakarta, Selasa (24/9).
Menurutnya, skema ini dibuat berdasarkan hasil survei di beberapa wilayah di Indonesia dan telah melalui proses uji lapang.
Dia menambahkan, skema ISPO adalah wajib karena penerapannya sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. ISPO menggunakan mekanisme verifikasi melalui audit pihak ketiga untuk mengetahui apakah pelaksana atau perusahaan telah menerapkan peraturan perundangan yang berlaku di Indonesia.
"Saat ini, pemerintah akan merevisi skema ISPO dengan adanya ketentuan baru melalui Inpres Nomor 10 tahun 2011 tentang Moratorium Penanaman di Lahan Gambut yang diperpanjang dengan Inpres Nomor 6 tahun 2013," kata Hari Priyono mewakili Mentan Suswono.
Di samping itu, katanya lagi, perubahan ketentuan mengenai penerapan high conservation value atau nilai konservasi tinggi harus menyesuaikan dengan ketentuan yang berlaku di Indonesia.
"Penerapan ketentuan pengurangan emisi gas rumah kaca di dalam skema ISPO bertujuan mendukung komitmen Presiden RI di Kopenhagen pada 2009," ungkapnya lagi.

He added, ISPO scheme is mandatory for application in accordance with applicable regulations. ISPO use verification mechanism via a third-party audit, to determine whether the executive or the company has implemented laws and regulations that apply in Indonesia.
"Currently, the government will revise the ISPO scheme with the new regulations through Presidential Decree No. 10 of 2011 on the Moratorium Investing in Peatlands are extended by Presidential Decree No. 6 of 2013," said Hari Priyono representing the Minister of Agriculture Suswono.
