Kepanjen, Malang (B2B) - Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) berpamitan kepada para petani dan nelayan Indonesia terkait masa jabatan sebagai presiden, yang akan berakhir 4,5 bulan mendatang. SBY juga meminta para petani dan nelayan yang bergabung dalam Kontak Tani Nasional Andalan (KTNA) untuk mendukung pemerintahan mendatang dari hasil Pemilu Presiden 2014.

Pernyataan tersebut dikemukakan Presiden SBY saat membuka Pekan Nasional Petani - Nelayan (PENAS) XIV- 2014 di Kepanjen, Malang, Jawa Timur, Sabtu, yang akan berlangsung hingga Jumat mendatang (12/6), yang dihadiri 35 ribu petani dari seluruh Indonesia dan 60 petani dari kawasan Asia Tenggara (ASEAN) dan Jepang.

"PENAS 2014 menjadi kehadiran saya yang terakhir karena empat setengah bulan lagi saya akan akhirii tugas sebagai presiden. Selama hampir 10 tahun menjadi presiden, saya telah kunjungi hampir seluruh desa dan berusaha menghadiri undangan panen raya di seluruh Indonesia," kata Presiden yang didampingi Ibu Ani Yudhoyono, Menteri Pertanian Suswono dan Ny Mieke Suswono.

Turut hadir Ketua KTNA Winarno Tohir, Wakil Menteri Pertanian Rusman Heriawan, sejumlah menteri dari Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu II, Gubernur Jawa Timur Soekarwo, Bupati Malang Rendra Kresna dan sejumlah gubernur, walikota dan bupati dari seluruh Indonesia yang menerima penghargaan Satya Lencana Wira Karya bidang pertanian.

During nearly 10 years as president, I was have visited almost every village and tried to attend the harvest of agricultural products across Indonesia," Yudhoyono said who was accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, Agriculture Minister Suswono and Mrs. Mieke Suswono.

KTNA chairman Winarno Tohir, Deputy Agriculture Minister Rusman Heriawan, also attended and a number of ministers of the United Indonesia Cabinet II, East Java Governor Soekarwo, Malang Regent Rendra Kresna and a number of governors, mayors and regents from across Indonesia who will receive the Medal award Wira Karya agriculture.
