Jakarta (B2B) - Pertanian modern menuntut pemanfaatan mekanisasi pertanian sebagai penentu peningkatan produksi pertanian nasional, khususnya untuk menekan tingkat kehilangan produksi saat panen dan proses pasca panen, Menteri Pertanian RI Andi Amran Sulaiman memperkirakan pemanfaatan teknologi pertanian akan menghemat biaya produksi pertanian nasional hingga Rp50 triliun.
"Inovasi teknologi pertanian menjadi penentu bagi Indonesia menuju pertanian modern maka kita akan menghemat biaya produksi nasional hingga Rp50 triliun per tahun," kata Mentan Amran Sulaiman di Cimanggu Bogor pada Selasa (1/12) saat meluncurkan Taman Sains Pertanian (TSP) dan Taman Teknologi Pertanian (TTP).
Mentan memberi ilustrasi tentang proses panen padi secara tradisional, tingkat kehilangan bulir padi tergolong tinggi, dan apabila dihitung dalam jutaan hektar lahan sawah maka dengan pertanian modern dapat menghemat biaya produksi hingga Rp50 triliun.
"Dengan teknologi pertanian, kalau semua pakai konsep pertanian modern maka kita bisa hemat 50 triliun rupiah dalam biaya produksi pertanian selama setahun. Nanti nggak perlu impor karena biaya turun, produksi naik, dan petani pun sejahtera," kata Amran Sulaiman.
Kepala Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pertanian (Balitbangtan) Mohammad Syakir mengatakan sebagai wujud sinergi dengan perguruan tinggi dalam pelaksanaan pengembangan dan dseminasi inovasi melalui TSP dan TTP termasuk Gelar Lapang Inovasi Pertanian maka Balitbangtan menjalin kerjasama dengan 18 universitas di Indonesia yakni Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri), Universitas Lampung (Unila), Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed), Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM), Universitas Brawijaya (Unbraw), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (Unlam), Universitas Palangka Raya, Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas), Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI), Universitas Tadulako, Universitas Al-Khairat, Universitas Tompotika, Universitas Jember, dan Universitas Mataram.
Menurutnya, dukungan dari pemerintah pusat melalui Kementerian Pertanian RI terhadap pembangunan TSP dan TTP diimplementasikan melalui pembangunan fisik, penyediaan sarana prasarana produksi dan pengolahan hasil pertanian, capacity building, serta peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan lokal.
"Sedangkan rancangan pembangunan TTP yang disinergikan dengan program strategis daerah, selama tiga tahun ke depan, dituangkan ke dalam grand design yang diharapkan pada tahun ketiga atau 2017
secara nyata memiliki kontribusi untuk peningkatan ekonomi daerah. Pada tahun-tahun selanjutnya, sistem pengelolaannya diharapkan menyatu dengan badan usaha milik daerah sebagai lembaga pengelola TTP yang didampingi oleh pemerintah daerah, akademisi, kelembagaan lokal, dan perusahaan swasta," kata Syakir.

"The innovation of agricultural technology to be decisive for Indonesia towards the modern agriculture, we will save the cost of national production up to 50 trillion rupiahs per year," Minister Sulaiman said in Cimanggu, Bogor of West Java province on Tuesday (12/1) when it launches the Agricultural Science Park (TSP) and Agricultural Technology Park (TTP).
Minister Sulaiman illustrate the traditional rice harvest, grain loss rate is high, and if calculated in millions of hectares of paddy fields, modern agriculture is expected to save on production costs up to 50 trillion rupiah.
"Agricultural technology is a prerequisite for the application of modern agriculture, we would save 50 trillion rupiahs cost of production during the year. No need to import rice because production costs down, production increased, and farmers will be happy," he said.
The Head of Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development Ministry of Agriculture (IAARD) Mohammad Syakir said as a form of synergy with universities in development and dissemination of innovation through the TSP and the TTP so then the IAARD make cooperation with 18 universities in Indonesia, namely the Jakarta´s Indonesia University, Palembang´s Sriwijaya University, Lampung University, Bogor Agricultural Institute, Bandung´s Padjadjaran University, Purwokerto´s General Soedirman University, Yogyakarta´s Gadjah Mada University, Palangkaraya´s Lambung Mangkurat University, Makassar´s Hasanuddin University, University of Muhammadiyah Luwuk, the Indonesian Muslim University, Tadulako University, University of Al-Khairat, Tompotika University, Jember University, and Mataram University.
He added the support of central government through the Ministry of Agriculture to the development of TSP and TTP are implemented through physical development, provision of facilities for production, agricultural product processing, capacity building, and increasing the capacity of local institutions.
"While the development plan of TTP synergy with local programs, over the next three years into the grand design that is expected in 2017 significantly contributed to boost the local economy. In subsequent years, the management system is expected to merge with region-owned enterprises as management institutions of TTP who was accompanied by the local government, academics, local institutions, and private companies," Mr Syakir said.
