Bogor (B2B) - Menteri Pertanian mengimbau masyarakat bisa lebih tenang dan media massa memberikan kabar yang kondusif terkait harga cabai dan bawang, karena saat ini komoditas bawang dan cabai mulai panen dan harga menunjukkan tren penurunan.
"Pemerintah akan selalu memantau suplai dan harga di pasaran agar petani dan konsumen tidak ada yang dirugikan," kata Menteri Pertanian Suswono ketika melakukan peninjauan Pasar Induk Jambu Dua Bogor bersama sejumlah pejabat eselon satu dan dua di Kementerian Pertanian.
Menurut Mentan Suswono, kenaikan harga bukan disebabkan oleh suplai, karena di pasaran cabai dan bawang pasokannya selalu tercukupi. Kemungkinan kenaikan harga lantaran kendala transportasi dan adanya isu kelangkaan di media massa yang memicu kenaikan harga.
Dia menambahkan, produksi hortikultura memiliki masa tersendiri. Dimana saat ini, produksinya memang belum optimal ditambah faktor eksternal mempengaruhi harga di tingkat pasar dan konsumen.
"Saat ini memang panen baru terjadi, diharapkan April dan Mei sudah optimal lagi produksinya," kata Mentan.
Berdasarkan data dari para pedagang, tren harga cabai dan bawang mengalami penurunan. Misalnya untuk harga cabai merah besar dan keriting sebesar Rp. 20 ribu, cabai keriting hijau Rp 24 ribu, cabai besar hijau Rp 12 ribu, dan cabai rawit hijau antara Rp 16 - 17 ribu. Adapun yang masih mahal adalah harga cabai rawit merah seharga Rp 42 ribu.

For example, the price of curly red chilli and curly red chilli Rp20 thousand , green chilli Rp24 thousand, Rp12 thousand large green chilli, and green chili Rp16 thousand to Rp17 thousand. As for which is still expensive is the price curly red chillies reached Rp42 thousand.
