Jakarta (B2B) - Produksi jagung 2012 naik 9,83% dibandingkan produksi 2011 menjadi 19,38 juta ton pipilan kering.
 
Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mencatat kenaikan sebesar 1,73 juta ton itu sejalan peningkatan luas panen seluas 95.220 hektare (2,46%) dan kenaikan produktivitas sebesar 3,28 kuintal/hektare (7,19%).
 
Kenaikan produksi tersebut, ungkap berita resmi BPS, terjadi di Jawa mencapai 1,24 juta ton dan di luar Jawa hingga 0,49 juta ton.
 
Sementara, produksi kedelai 2012 (angka sementara) naik tipis 0,04% (360 ton) dibandingkan periode 2011, menjadi 851.650 ton biji kering.

Kenaikan produksi tersebut terjadi di Jawa 29.520 ton, sedangkan di luar Jawa produksi turun 29.160 ton.
 
"Kenaikan produksi kedelai terjadi karena peningkatan produktivitas sebesar 1,32 kuintal/hektare meskipun luas panen mengalami penurunan seluas 54,38 ribu hektar (8,74%)," tulis BPS.
 
Adapun, produksi padi 2012 (angka sementara) mencapai 69,05 juta ton gabah kering giling (GKG) atau naik 5% dibanding periode 2011.
 
Kenaikan produksi tersebut terjadi di Jawa sebesar 2,12 juta ton dan di luar Jawa sebesar 1,17 juta ton.

The increase in production was 29,520 tonnes in Java, while outside Java production dropped 29,160 tons.
 
"The increase in soybean production occurs due to an increase in productivity of 1.32 quintal per hectare although the harvested area decreased 54.38 thousand hectares or 8.74%," wrote BPS.

Meanwhile, the production of rice in 2012 (preliminary figures) reached 69.05 million tons of milled rice (paddy), up 5% compared to the period 2011.
 
The increase in production occurred in Java amounted to 2.12 million tons and outside Java amounted to 1.17 million tons.
