Jakarta (B2B) - Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono yang biasa dipanggil Ibas menyatakan untuk maju lagi sebagai anggota parlemen pada Pemilihan Umum 2014. Padahal, sebelumnya Sekretaris Jenderal Partai Demokrat ini menyatakan mundur sebagai anggota DPR setelah dengan dalih ingin fokus di partai.
Direktur Lingkar Madani Indonesia (Lima) Ray Rangkuti menuding Ibas telah mengejek demokrasi dan mengejek rakyat Indonesia. Pasalnya, saat mundur sebagai anggota DPR, putra bungsu Ketua Umum Partai Demokrat, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ini berdalih ingin fokus mengurus partai.
"Itu alasan saja, padahal saat itu Ibas mundur karena banyak pemberitaan yang menyudutkan dirinya setelah kedapatan mengisi absen tapi tidak mengikuti rapat paripurna," ungkap Ray ketika dihubungi di Jakarta, Senin (22/4).
Sebelumnya diberitakan, Ibas kembali mencalonkan diri sebagai anggota legislatif Partai Demokrat pada Pemilu 2014.
"Hari ini saya sebagai kader Partai Demokrat kembali dipercaya oleh institusi yang membesarkan saya, untuk kembali dicalonkan sebagai calon anggota DPR. Insya Allah hal itu akan saya wujudkan, dan saya akan berbuat yang terbaik terhadap masyarakat," kata Ibas di Gedung KPU.
