Jakarta (B2B) - Gubernur DKI Jakarta, Joko Widodo menolak kebijakan pemerintah memberikan kompensasi kenaikan BBM bersubsidi melalui Bantuan Langsung Sementara Masyarakat (BLSM).
Bantuan bagi warga miskin tersebut lebih tepat menjadi bantuan pengembangan program usaha kecil, industri rumah tangga yang sifatnya lebih produktif.
"Kalau bisa bantuan itu (BLSM) untuk usaha-usaha produktif, usaha kecil, usaha rumah tangga yang produktif. Itu lebih baik," kata Jokowi kepada pers di Balaikota DKI, Jakarta, Senin (17/6).
Jokowi mengakui bahwa dirinya tidak pernah setuju dengan segala jenis program bantuan berupa uang tunai. Mantan walkota Solo ini juga mengaku tidak mendukung ketika pemerintah menerapkan kebijakan Bantuan Langsung Tunai (BLT).
"Memberi uang tunai itu tidak mendidik masyarakat untuk mandiri," ungkap Jokowi.
Pemerintah berencana menyalurkan dana BLSM sebesar Rp150 kepada tiap kepala keluarga dari warga miskin sebagai kompensasi atas kenaikan BBM bersubsidi, yang akan didistribusikan mulai bulan ini.

"If I can help it (BLSM) for productive ventures, small businesses, home businesses are productive. Better that way," said Jokowi told reporters at City Hall, Jakarta, Monday (17/6).
Jokowi admitted that he never agreed to any kind of cash assistance program. Former Solo walkota also said he did not support when the government implemented a policy of direct cash assistance (BLT).
"Giving cash is not educating people to be independent," said Jokowi.
Government plans BLSM funds of Rp150 thousand to each family head of the poor as a compensation for the rise in subsidized fuel, which will be distributes this month.
