"Pertumbuhan tetap tinggi.

Berdasarkan data BKPM, pertumbuhan PMDN tercatat sebesar 39,6% year-on-year dengan nilai realisasi investasi mencapai Rp27,5 triliun, hampir sama dengan kuartal pertama 2012 sebesar 39,7% year-on-year.

Jakarta (B2B) - Investment growth rate in first quarter 2013 was still relatively high because it has reached 24% of the investment target for 2013 which is set at Rp390.3 trillion.

Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Chatib Basri said realization of investment during first quarter 2013 reached Rp93 trillion, with year-on-year growth by 30.6%, lower than the same period last year, 32.8%.

"The growth remains high. Although, it was only 24% from the target of Rp390 trillion, but that´s okay because the first quarter is usually smaller than the others. Why? Because it still takes time for the financing," Chatib Basri told to the press in Jakarta, Senin (22/4).

He added, domestic investment (DCI) in the first quarter showed higher growth than foreign direct investment (FDI).

Based on the BKPM data, domestic investment growth stood at 39.6% year-on-year with the realizable value of the investment of Rp27.5 billion, almost similar to first quarter 2012 which was 39.7% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the decline in FDI growth was more visible, as it was only 27.2% year-on-year with the actual investment reached Rp65.5 billion. In the same period last year, FDA growth was 30.3% year-on-year.

Azhar Lubis, Deputy Investment Control of BKPM, said the slowdown in foreign capital investment was happening was not great so we do not have to worry about the decline. Because the value of the foreign capital investment has recorded a huge amount so it is difficult to increase significantly.

"Value investment is high because so natural that growth declined slightly compared to last year," he said.

Of total investment realization in IQ/2013 quarter which totaling IDR93 trillion, the composition of foreign capital investment reached 70.4% with an investment of IDR65.5 billion, while the composition of domestic investment reached 29.6% with an investment of IDR27.5 billion.
