Jakarta [B2B] - Presiden RI Joko Widodo [Jokowi] menekankan bahwa Indonesia mempunyai peluang besar untuk meraih Indonesia Emas Tahun 2045 serta meraih posisi menjadi negara lima besar kekuatan ekonomi dunia.
Hal tersebut ditegaskan Jokowi saat menyampaikan pidato pada Sidang Tahunan MPR RI dan Sidang Bersama DPR RI dan DPD RI dalam rangka HUT Ke-78 Proklamasi Kemerdekaan RI, di Ruang Rapat Paripurna, Gedung Nusantara MPR/DPR/DPD RI, Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu [16/08].
“Peluang tersebut harus mampu kita manfaatkan. Rugi besar jika kita melewatkan kesempatan ini, karena tidak semua negara memilikinya dan belum tentu akan kembali memilikinya,” ujar Jokowi.
Jokowi menyebutkan, peluang besar pertama adalah bonus demografi yang akan mencapai puncak di tahun 2030-an.
“Enam puluh delapan persen adalah penduduk usia produktif. Di sinilah kunci peningkatan produktivitas nasional kita,” ujarnya.
Selanjutnya, peluang besar yang kedua adalah kepercayaan internasional atau international trust yang dimiliki Indonesia saat ini. Kepercayaan tersebut, kata Presiden, dibangun bukan sekadar melalui gimmick dan retorika semata, melainkan melalui peran dan bukti nyata keberanian Indonesia dalam bersikap.
“Momentum Presidensi Indonesia di G20, Keketuaan Indonesia di ASEAN, konsistensi Indonesia dalam menjunjung HAM, kemanusiaan, dan kesetaraan, serta kesuksesan Indonesia menghadapi krisis dunia tiga tahun terakhir ini, telah mendongkrak dan menempatkan Indonesia kembali dalam peta percaturan dunia,” kata Presiden.
Di tengah kondisi dunia yang bergolak akibat perbedaan, imbuh Presiden, Indonesia dengan ideologi Pancasila, harmoni keberagaman, dan prinsip demokrasi yang dimilikinya, mampu menghadirkan ruang dialog serta menjadi titik temu dan menjembatani perbedaan-perbedaan yang ada.
“Lembaga think tank Australia, Lowy Institute, menyebut Indonesia sebagai middle power in Asia, dengan diplomatic influence yang terus meningkat tajam. Dan, Indonesia termasuk 1 dari 6 negara Asia yang mengalami kenaikan comprehensive power,” ujarnya.
Kepercayaan yang dimiliki Indonesia di mata internasional tersebut, kata Jokowi, sangat penting dalam diplomasi Indonesia di kancah dunia.
“Dengan international trust yang tinggi, kredibilitas kita akan lebih diakui, kedaulatan kita akan lebih dihormati. Suara Indonesia akan lebih didengar sehingga memudahkan kita dalam setiap bernegosiasi,” tandasnya.

"We have to take advantage of this opportunity. It will be a big loss if we miss this opportunity, because not all countries have it and it is not certain that they will have it again," said the President.
The President said, the first big opportunity is the demographic bonus which will reach its peak in the 2030s.
“Sixty-eight percent are productive age population. This is the key to increasing our national productivity," he said.
Furthermore, the second big opportunity is the international trust that Indonesia currently has. This trust, said the President, was built not just through gimmicks and rhetoric, but through the role and concrete evidence of Indonesia's courage in taking a stand.
"The momentum of Indonesia's presidency in the G20, Indonesia's chairmanship in ASEAN, Indonesia's consistency in upholding human rights, humanity and equality, as well as Indonesia's success in dealing with world crises in the last three years, have boosted and placed Indonesia back on the world map," said the President.
In the midst of world conditions that are turbulent due to differences, the President added, Indonesia with its Pancasila ideology, harmony of diversity and democratic principles, is able to present a space for dialogue as well as become a meeting point and bridge the differences that exist.
“The Australian think tank , the Lowy Institute, calls Indonesia a middle power in Asia, with diplomatic influence continuing to increase sharply. And, Indonesia is one of 6 Asian countries that has experienced an increase in comprehensive power, " he said.
The trust that Indonesia has in the eyes of the international community, said the President, is very important in Indonesia's diplomacy on the world stage.
"With high international trust , our credibility will be more recognized, our sovereignty will be more respected. Indonesia's voice will be heard more, making it easier for us in every negotiation," he said.
