"Polisi sudah memberi ijin pada even pertandingan tinju tersebut sehingga apapun yang terjadi di dalam even itu polisi harus bertanggung jawab," kata Neta S Pane di Jakarta, Senin (15/7).
Kepala Polri Jenderal (Pol) Timur Pradopo harus melakukan evaluasi terhadap kinerja Kepala Polda Papua dan Kepala Polres Nabire. Akibat kelalaian kedua pimpinan Polri di Papua tersebut, pertandingan tinju berubah menjadi kerusuhan massal.
"Apabila polisi melakukan deteksi dini di tempat kejadian, tentu polisi segera melakukan antisipasi seperti menghentikan pertandingan atau membubarkan penonton," ungkap Neta.
