Jakarta (B2B) - Komite Konvensi Partai Demokrat telah terbentuk dan akan segera diumumkan. Undangan konvensi rencananya akan diumumkan pada 1 Agustus setelah pengumuman anggota komite.
Ketua Umum Harian Partai Demokrat Syariefuddin Hasan menyatakan Ketua Majelis Tinggi Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono atau Sekretaris Majelis Tinggi Jero Wacik
"Anggota komite sekitar 18 orang, lebih banyak dari eksternal partai," kata Syarif.
Namun Syarif enggan memaparkan lebih detail tentang anggota komite yang lebih terpilih. Ia merasa kurang pantas untuk membeberkan lebih dulu sebelum pengumuman resmi yang dilakukan Majelis Tinggi akhir bulan ini.
Menteri Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah ini juga menyatakan, anggota komite tidak ada yang berasal dari menteri di Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu II. Hal ini diputuskan agar dalam tugasnya lebih dapat terpercaya di mata masyarakat.
Majelis tinggi rencananya juga akan mengumumkan identitas lembaga survei yang menjadi tolak ukur penetapan calon presiden dalam konvensi. Partai Demokrat menggandeng tiga lembaga survei untuk menghitung elektabilitas para peserta konvensi dalam dua tahap, yaitu November 2013 dan April 2014.
"Undangan akan diberikan langsung oleh komite," kata Syarief.

Democratic Party Executive Chairman Syariefuddin Hasan said the committee members will be announce by the Party’s Chief Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or Supreme Assembly Secretary Jero Wacik on July 31.
"Is there are around 18 committee members and most of them are from other party," Syarief said.
However, he refused to provide more details about the chosen committee members, stating that it is improper for him to spill the names before the official announcement.
The Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Minister also said that none of the Second United Indonesia Cabinet members were selected, in order to secure the society’s trust to the committee.
The party’s executives has also planned to reveal the identity of the survey body used to select presidential candidates for the convention. Democratic Party has worked together with three survey bodies to calculate the electability of convention members in two periods: November 2013 and April 2014.
"The invitations will be directly sent by the committee," Syarief said.
