Jakarta (B2B) - Sebagian besar rakyat menolak rencana pemerintah menaikkan harga Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) bersubsidi. Pasalnya akan membebani daya beli masyarakat, harga kebutuhan pokok naik, tidak bermanfaat bagi kesehatan fiskal negara karena beberapa kali kenaikan harga BBM yang lalu ternyata tidak efektif menyelamatkan anggaran pemerintah.

"Berdasarkan hasil survei LSN, 86,1 persen responden menolak rencana kenaikan harga BBM bersubsidi. Responden yang setuju hanya 12,4 persen dan 1,5 persen menyatakan tidak tahu," kata peneliti utama Lembaga Survei Nasional (LSN) Dipa Pradipta kepada pers di Jakarta, Minggu (2/6).

Menurut Dipa, publik beralasan bahwa kenaikan harga BBM bersubsidi akan memberatkan kemampuan ekonomi masyarakat sehingga harga kebutuhan pokok akan melambung, tidak terjangkau oleh pendapatan rakyat miskin.

"Kebijakan itu juga tidak akan menolong kesehatan fiskal karena beberapa kali kenaikan harga BBM bersubsidi di masa lalu tidak efektif menyelamatkan APBN,"  tambah Dipa.

Menurut hasil survei LSN, kata Dipa, 12,4% responden yang mendukung kenaikan harga BBM bersubsidi hampir seluruhnya berasal dari masyarakat dengan latar pendidikan tinggi dan ekonomi mapan.

"Golongan masyarakat tersebut dapat memahami sejumlah argumentasi pemerintah menaikan harga BBM bersubsidi. Meskipun di antara mereka juga tidak yakin pada kebijakan pemerintah akan efektif untuk menyehatkan perekonomian nasional," tambah Dipta.

Survei LSN dilaksanakan pada 1-10 Mei 2013 di 33 provinsi di seluruh Indonesia. Populasi survei ini meliputi penduduk Indonesia yang berumur 17 tahun ke atas atau belum 17 tahun tapi sudah menikah.

Jumlah sampel sebanyak 1.230 responden yang diperoleh melalui teknik pencuplikan secara rambang berjenjang (multistage random sampling), dengan margin of error 2,8% dan tingkat kepercayaan (level of confident) 95%.

"Survei ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara tatap muka, dengan responden berpedoman pada kuesioner serta dilengkapi riset kualitiatif melalui wawancara mendalam (depth interview) dan analisis media," kata Direktur Eksekutif LSN, Umar S Bakry.

"Based on LSN survey results, 86.1 percent of respondents reject plan to increase subsidized fuel prices. Respondents who agreed only 12.4 percent and 1.5 percent said they did not know," said lead investigator National Survey Institute (LSN) Dipa Pradipta told reporters in Jakarta, Sunday (2/6).

According Pradipta, publicly argued that subsidized fuel price hike will be burden the economic capacity of the community so that prices of basic needs will be soar, not affordable by poor people´s income.

"The policy will also help fiscal health, because the subsidized fuel price hike in the past are not effective to save the state budget," added Dipa.

According to LSN survey, said Dipa, 12.4% of respondents that supports subsidized fuel price hike is almost entirely of highly educated society and economic well-established.

"Group of the community can understand some arguments government to raise subsidized fuel prices. Though among them are also not sure on the government policy will be effectively for financial healthy state," added Dipta.

LSN survey conducted on May 1 to 10 2013 in the 33 provinces in Indonesia. Indonesian survey population includes people aged 17 years and over, or not yet 17 years old, but has been married.

The total sample of 1,230 respondents, obtained through tiered sampling techniques (multistage random sampling), with a margin of error of 2.8% and a confidence level (level of confident) 95%.

"The survey was conducted by face-to-face interview technique, with respondents based on the questionnaire and include qualitative research through in-depth interviews and analysis of the media," said Executive Director of LSN, Umar S Bakry.
