Semarang (B2B) - Ketua Dewan Pimpinan Pusat Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, Puan Maharani, menyatakan bahwa Joko Widodo hanya bisa maju sebagai calon presiden melalui PDIP.
Meski begitu, Puan menyatakan bahwa semua kebijakan mengenai pencalonan presiden masih tergantung kepada ketua umum partai, Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Sebelumnya, seluruh lembaga survei meletakkan Jokowi sebagai calon presiden terkuat. Ia satu-satunya orang yang mampu mengunguli popularitas Prabowo Subianto. Bahkan, Partai Demokrat juga sempat menawarinya untuk masuk sebagai peserta konvensi calon presiden dari Demokrat.
Hingga kini, Jokowi menyatakan tidak bersedia. Dia masih ingin fokus membenahi persoalan Jakarta, seperti kemacetan dan banjir.

Previously, a survey institution has put Jokowi as the most favored presidential candidate, even more popular compared to Prabowo Subianto. The Democratic Party even offered the governor to participate in the Democrat Convention as one of the possible presidential candidate.
Jokowi himself said that he has no intention of being a President. He stated that he wants to focus on solving problems in Jakarta, such as traffic and flood.
