"Katanya belum ditemukan. Nah kenapa tak ketemu? Apa disembunyikan?," tanya Agus.
Jakarta (B2B) - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is urged to investigate other politicians following the naming of former Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Andi Mallarangeng, as a suspect of corruption case of Hambalang mega project. Executive bodies impossibly commit corruption on their own without any assistance from parliament.
In a corruption crime, involvement of politician is highly possible.
“Executive bodies cannot do on their own, KPK must also investigate the parliament,” says Investigation Coordinator of Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW), Agus Sunaryanto, in a discussion in Jakarta on Saturday (8/12).
The first-phase audit result by Audit Board still focuses on the
procurement process of Hambalang project by executive bodies. He hopes that the second phase audit will focus on the process carried out by legislative bodies.
The involvement of members of parliament is clearly seen in the planning of the project and its land certificate. Yet, Agus smells any tricky efforts done by the House.
It is apparent when the House insists on giving conclusion of the session discussing the project taking up a budget of Rp 2.4 trillion to Audit Board.
“In fact, based on the conclusion, we can see any parliament members having hidden missions in the project,” he says.
Recently, Agus once asked about the conclusion to Chair of DPR. “He said that it is yet to be found. Why is it so? Does anyone hide it?” asked Agus.
