Kalo Teten Masduki gimana? Rieke dulu calon gubernur, Teten calon wakil gubernur.

Jakarta (B2B) - Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has officially declared himself as a presidential candidate from Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) for the 2014 presidential election. If Jokowi won, Vice Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama will automatically step up to governor position.

This makes the discourse of vice governor candidate continues to rise. In fact, Gerindra Party wish the candidate proposed by them would fill in the position.

Head of Gerindra Fraction in Jakarta Council (DPRD), M Sanusi, said that although Basuki derived from Gerindra, Gerindra still requests to have candidate nominated for vice governor position that comes from his party. In fact, he threatens that if from two candidates nominated and both were from PDIP, Gerindra will not sign the agreement.

“If, for instance, there were two vice governor candidates and both of them are from PDIP, we (Gerindra) will not sign it (the agreement). There must be one candidate from Gerindra,” he asserted, Saturday (3/15).

According to Sanusi, Gerindra also have a role in promoting Jokowi-Basuki in the 2012 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election. Thus, vice Jakarta governor does not necessarily comes from PDIP, since Gerindra also has the same right even though Jokowi is from PDIP.

“So, vice governor does not necessarily comes from PDIP. Gerindra still has the right to propose a candidate because in 2012 PDIP could not propose their candidate themselves and so did Gerindra. This means, let DPRD determines it (the decision of which official to fill in vice governor position). And, the ones to determine it are the new DPRD members, not the old ones (2009-2014),” he uttered.

Meanwhile, Vice Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama stated that it is fine if the candidate that will accompany him is from Gerindra. However, he reminded that in terms of moral ethics, such a thing cannot be justified.

“I don’t know (who vice governor candidate is), it depends on PDIP. If Rieke (Rieke Diah Pitaloka, politician from PDIP), is she ready? How about Teten Masduki? Rieke was a candidate for (West Java) governor, Teten was a candidate for (West Java) vice governor. If I was accompanied by Rieke, you all could suspect us meeting in four eyes. It will be a trouble then,” he expressed.

Meanwhile, William Yani, member of PDIP, said the decision to choose a companion for Basuki is in his party’s hands. If Gerinda proposed a candidate from his party, it is not a problem.

“All decisions are in the bearer party, which is PDIP. But if Gerinda requested for his cadre to be included, it is not a problem. But once again, the decision only comes from PDIP,” he stressed.

Yani admitted that officially the names to accompany Basuki have not existed yet. However, some names are often being discussed in the meetings, such as Head of PDIP Fraction in DPRD Syahrial, DPRD member Adang Ruchyatna, Vice DPRD Chairman Boy Sadikin, People’s Representative Council (DPR) member Rieke Diah Pitaloka, and Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini.
