Jakarta (B2B) - Partai Golongan Karya (Golkar) bertekad tetap mencalonkan Aburizal Bakrie untuk maju untuk maju dalam pemilihan presiden 2014 mendatang meskipun dalam survei elektabilitasnya menurun.

Mantan Ketua Umum Golkar, Akbar Tanjung menegaskan bahwa partainya belum memikirkan calon presiden selain Aburizal Bakrie, karena penetapannya sudah melalui mekanisme rapat pimpinan nasional (Rapimnas).

"Kami belum ada pikiran untuk cari (calon presiden) alternatif lain dan belum ada rencana. Kami tentu punya kepentingan agar Golkar raih suara yang signifikan dalam pemilu 2014. Golkar akan mencermati aspirasi masyarakat terkait dengan calon presiden," kata Akbar Tanjung di Jakarta, Selasa (18/12).

Menurutnya, Golkar akan terus mencermati elektabilitas Ical sebagai calon presiden. Partai tersebut akan mencari penyebab elektabilitas Aburizal dalam survei menurun.
