Tebo of Jambi [B2B] - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the prices of a number of basic commodities in the market were quite good, especially rice.

"Yes, the most important thing is that the prices are all good, the main thing is that the price of rice here is good," said Jokowi to the media crew after the inspection.

Meanwhile, regarding availability, Jokowi also said that rice stocks were still in a safe condition. Apart from that, the prices of a number of other basic necessities are also still relatively stable.

"There is no problem with the stock, this is what SPHP also has from Bulog, which means it is in stock. "I also saw that the prices were good, the same as the prices of shallots and garlic, everything is the same as the market in Merangin," said the President.

On this occasion, Jokowi also greeted and accepted selfie invitations from traders and the public who were present at Tanjung Bungur Market. One of them is Wendi, a rice and egg trader who admitted that he did not expect to meet Jokowi.

"Very happy, when else will we meet the number one person in our place," said Wendi.

Likewise, Feri Siahaan, a local resident who deliberately came to the market to meet Jokowi, also expressed his joy. According to him, the President's visit to Tebo Regency was historical.

"Very proud, grateful to be able to come here, it is indeed a blessing for us to come, Mr President. I want to (meet) the number one person in Indonesia, the president has never been here in history," said Feri.
