Penajam Paser Utara, Kaltim [B2B] - Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) melakukan peletakan batu pertama (groundbreaking) Masjid Negara di kawasan Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), Penajam Paser Utara, Kalimantan Timur, Rabu (17/1) pagi.
Presiden menyatakan bahwa masjid yang dirancang berkapasitas 61 ribu jemaah ini merupakan representasi kemajemukan Indonesia.
“Saya berharap Masjid Negara ini akan merepresentasikan kemajemukan Indonesia dan sarana untuk meningkatkan iman dan taqwa kepada Allah Swt., tempat yang nyaman bagi umat muslim untuk melakukan berbagai aktivitas keagamaan, aktivitas sosial lainnya, dan menjadi simbol untuk memperkuat toleransi dan moderasi beragama di Ibu Kota Nusantara kita,” ujarnya.
Selain Masjid Negara, kata Presiden, di kawasan IKN juga akan dibangun sejumlah tempat ibadah lainnya, seperti gereja katedral, wihara, pura, dan kelenteng.
“Ini akan menunjukkan betapa kita ini sangat beragam, tetapi kerukunan tetap terus kita jaga untuk membangun persatuan di negara kita,” imbuh Presiden.
Kepala Negara menyampaikan, Masjid Negara yang dibangun dengan nilai konstruksi mencapai Rp940 miliar ini ditargetkan selesai pada akhir tahun 2024 ini. Sarana ibadah ini akan dilengkapi dengan infrastruktur kawasan, seperti jalan dan jembatan.
“Di sekeliling masjid ini, tadi digambarkan di layar, akan dikelilingi oleh air, karena akan dibuat embung buatan. Sehingga, saya membayangkan masjid ini adalah masjid yang akan sangat indah dari luar dan juga akan sangat indah interiornya dari dalam,” ujarnya.
Presiden pun berharap Masjid Negara dapat menjadi contoh bagi Pembangunan masjid negara di dunia.
“Saya ingin masjid yang akan dibangun ini bisa menjadi contoh dari masjid-masjid negara di dunia dan menampilkan kekhasan Indonesia, menampilkan kekhasan Ibu Kota Nusantara,” tandasnya.

Apart from the State Mosque, the President said, a number of other places of worship will also be built in the IKN area, such as cathedral churches, monasteries, temples and temples.
"This will show how diverse we are, but we will continue to maintain harmony to build unity in our country," added the President.
The Head of State said that the State Mosque, which was built with a construction cost of IDR 940 billion, is targeted for completion by the end of 2024. This worship facility will be equipped with regional infrastructure, such as roads and bridges.
"Around this mosque, as depicted on the screen, it will be surrounded by water, because an artificial reservoir will be created. "So, I imagine this mosque is a mosque that will be very beautiful from the outside and the interior will also be very beautiful from the inside," he said.
The President also hopes that the State Mosque can become an example for the development of state mosques in the world.
"I want the mosque that will be built to be an example of mosques from countries in the world and display the uniqueness of Indonesia, display the uniqueness of the capital city of the archipelago," he said.
