Jakarta (B2B) - Indonesian investors assess the current state is not the right time to invest in the stock market or equity, and rely more on cash or property, because the risk is smaller.

Pessimistic attitude was described from a survey of 3500 respondents in seven Asian markets, while in Indonesia, a survey conducted on 500 respondents in three different cities.

"There is a gap optimism (investor Indonesia) on financial and retirement goals with their investment behavior," said President and CEO of Manulife Indonesia, Chris Bendl told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday (2/4).

By results of the survey, Chris recommends investors to consider investment instruments, other than cash and property that can provide huge profits and meet financial goals.

President Director of PT Manulife Asset Management Indonesia (MAMI), Legowo Kusumonegoro assess the Indonesian people have to realize that the money they put in the bank's low interest rates.

"The fund will eventually be eroded by inflation," said Legowo.
